The Worm’s Head Hotel boasts stunning panoramas over the futhermost tip of Gower, the rocky headland of Worm’s Head, and the sweep of Rhossili Bay. It even offers subsidised accommodation for staff working in the 17-bedroom business.

But what should be easy posts to fill are proving anything but, according to the proprietor, Adrian Short, who said: “It has been difficult to recruit. It’s a very social job, you meet people from all over the world, and there is great existing camaraderie amongst the existing staff. It pays well too, above the minimum wage and there are contributions towards petrol for any staff who work here but don’t stay here.” You can get more Swansea news and other story updates by subscribing to our newsletters here.
