Zoom to start live transcription services; Facebook VR support soon

Zoom, a well known video teleconferencing service announced that they are going to release support for automatic live transcription with live translation. Zoom, in a popular zoomtopia conference, had said that they are going to bring new changes to the system and also plans to transform the feature into a full fledged application that will allow users to do much more than just attending video conferences.

By the end of next year Zoom is planning to provide the users with live transcription for at least thirty languages. This feature will be introduced as automatic live transcriptions and it will provide closed captions in English to all the zoom accounts. While attending the conference, if a user is not understanding the language of the speaker then the user can take the help of the automatic live transcription feature that will translate and provide closed captions on screen.

However, Zoom has not confirmed the languages which are going to be added to this feature but they have stated that they have achieved this advancement as a direct result of machine learning expertise with the help of a German translation firm named Kites.

Zoom has a feature that helps the users to create a whiteboard and share it amongst the screen while having a meeting. This feature has turned out to be very helpful for the professionals such as people working in IT companies, Marketing or the teachers. Zoom received fame at the start of the year 2020 when the global pandemic hit the world and almost all the countries went under strict lockdown, offices were closed, schools and colleges were closed, but thanks to Zoom and many other teleconferencing service applications.

Zoom has now decided to bring some changes to this whiteboard feature. The whiteboard created during the meetings can now be shared outside meetings via zoom website or zoom  application.

Zoom is going to provide support for Facebook VR by next year. The shared virtual reality meeting room can link the zoom whiteboard while holding a video call or a meeting. Now the users can attach the Zoom whiteboards to the virtual meetings so that everyone can view it in the VR Virtual Space.
